The Predictive Analytics Tool (PAT) is a backend service for predicting the due date of maintenance events for a defined vehicle according to manufacturer specifications. Recently there has been achieved another milestone in development by a connection to PPSO, enabling consumers to calculate direct price information for determined service events and positions.
As a backend system serves PAT to another systems (“consumers”), where it can enable different business processes. To predict maintenance events, PAT uses technical, geographical, and usage-dependent attributes of the vehicle (mileage, annual mileage) as well as the vehicle and country specific maintenance plan and if available, the service history. Based on the parameters, PAT outputs a date on which a maintenance event (e.g. inspection with oil change) is to be carried out so that the maintenance schedule of the vehicle is adhered to. If then a price information for the maintenance was needed, it was necessary to use a service specific PPSo ID and directly in the PPSo application to call up the detailed package information. Due to a new API connection between PAT and PPSO can now consumers of the PAT API receive service package information directly.
The gathered data have various ways of usage:
“By connecting of PPSO we have achieved the last development milestone of PAT. In the upcoming months we will focus on the rollout and implementation of PAT in different markets. I am delighted we have already several commitments of the markets that plan to implement PAT into their system landscape”, said Siri Utecht from the PAT team.
