As a further step towards a connected after sales system landscape, the DMS integration pilot project of Elsa2Go has started in August 2021 in cooperation with the Volkswagen dealer Auto Dünki, Neftenbach, Switzerland.
With Elsa2Go it is the first time that the target software architecture of OrMa and RW.IL is deployed. The objective of the DMS pilot is clear: collect important findings in order to get the DMS integration ready for rollout, expected to start by end of 2021.
Over recent months, development teams of Elsa2Go, OrMa and RW.IL have worked together towards the goal to develop a functioning MVP that includes following Use Cases:
Thanks to these integrated functionalities in MVP, system breaks between the DMS and Elsa2Go are reduced as well as transfer of order data runs automatically. This has in turn a positive impact on work of service personnel, who can benefit from efficient usage of Elsa2Go in synergy with the DMS.
“In the last few weeks, we were able to test Elsa2Go with the DMS integration in our dealership. It was very easy to use right from the start”, commented on the ongoing pilot Marco Dünki, Member of the Management Board Auto Dünki AG. “Due to the clearly structured interface, all users found their way in the system very quickly. By the way, especially the mechanics enjoy the mobile usage on tablets, which is also convenient to use. All in all, we are looking forward to introducing the system soon.”
What comes next? In the upcoming months, product teams will put their effort into further optimization of the MVP. More specifically, the MVP will be extended not only by new Use Cases, e.g. processing of orders in Elsa2Go (functionalities as deletion, bulk changes), but also by integration of other products.
“The DMS integration is an important milestone in the development of Elsa2Go to support the user in the dealership”, said Bastian Prieß from the Elsa2Go team. “We are currently working on improving and expanding the existing solution to make the customer experience even better. The first positive feedback from the dealer is a great motivation for the future development.”
