The Vehicle Lifecycle Module (VLM) provides a reliable and continuous vehicle history enabling a basis for further data usage and interpretation through various after sales systems.
Vehicle Lifecycle Module is a project within Group Vehicle File in order to import all vehicle history data.
The VLM provides a consistent, reliable and continuous vehicle history by recording every single vehicle event. An event is defined as a deliberated activity in order to change or maintain the current condition of a vehicle. For example:
An application connected to VLM is able to display the whole vehicle lifecycle at a glance.
The development will be step by step and iterative, starting with maintenance and service events.
In contrast to the current backend systems, linking to GVF-VLM is very easy and smooth. An application just needs to follow three steps in order to get ready for using VLM data:
VLM within GVF ensures that:
Already developed functionalities whose availability depends on the rollout activities.
New functionalities will constantly be developed based on user feedback and needs.
The availability of the VLM depends on GVF.
