Group Service Key

Group Service Key enables offline vehicles to enter the digital service process by displaying vehicle data which is read out the vehicle key.

ABOUT

The Group Service Key displays vehicle data by reading out the vehicle key.

This enables a more detailed and faster service process including vehicle acceptance, order creation, order enhancements or vehicle return.

Therefore, it enables “non-digital” vehicles to enter the digital service process.

  • Provides data from “offline vehicles” at an early point
  • Reduced time expenses for manual data input, such as VIN or mileage
  • Up- & cross-selling potential through detailed vehicle data, e.g. AdBlue or Oil
  • Additional (diagnostic) information can improve estimation of repair period and scope
  • Automatic transfer of data to other core systems (e.g.: ElsaPro)

FUNCTIONALITIES

Current Functionalities

Already developed functionalities whose availability depends on the rollout activities.

Display of basic vehicle and vehicle condition data. The data is collected from carport (for basic vehicle data) and from the vehicle key (vehicle condition and diagnostic data).
Transfer of collected key data to ElsaPro, Vehicle Information View, DISS Protocoll Viewer, ETKA and integrated to the DMS.
See download section „Service Key Generation by Brands/model” presentation to see, which model from which brand provides additional diagnostic data from the key. The Service Key diagnostic Data Generations are called “SK2 and SK3”.
Display of vehicle oil standard data. The data is collected from PAT.

New functionalities will constantly be developed based on user feedback and needs.

SYSTEM OVERVIEW

The implementation of the Group Service Key into the Dealer Management System (DMS) is done via RW.IL.
The Group Service Key is able to transfer the key data to Dealer Management Systems. Depending on the system and provider, the implementation in the system can be realized in various ways:

ROLLOUT

All rollout activities are supported by a dedicated rollout team guiding the importer through all relevant action fields.

Hardware:

  • Group Service Key Reader (Hardware needs to be purchased by the user via workshop equipment)
  • Brand neutral design but the same technology
  • Second generation Audi docks are still usable

Software:

  • Group Service Key in version 3.0 or higher
  • Web Based Training (WBT) is available in Group Training Online
    • Audi Training online provides training material
  • IT support will run via the established process by importers
  • Tickets can be created via Sales Application Service Desk (SASD@volkswagen.de) for technical first and second level support
  • Reporting will be established for Group solution by each brand
  • Pilot & rollout-appointments need to be signed
